Spilling water on people
Here's a thought, scripture, and prayer to guide us.
Thought:
I’ve heard it said discipleship is like walking around with a completely full glass of water. If we stay still, the water would stay in the glass. If we walk around with it, the water begins to spill out onto other people we walk into. Before we overflow into or onto others we need to be filled, continually filled, so our Jesus water falls onto them. How are you filling your glass with Jesus every day so you are filled with him? How are you intentionally walking around others so the Jesus water inside your glass spills onto those who are parched?
Scripture:
"The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him." John 7:38 CSB
Prayer:
Father God fill us with the living water of your Spirit and give us vision and motivation to make us overflow onto others who need to have their thirst quenched by you in Jesus name amen.
