There’s no such thing as darkness

Here's a thought, scripture, and prayer to guide us.

Thought:

One of my favorite passages in the Bible is in the first chapter of John’s gospel, where he describes Jesus as light. Some say darkness does not exist. They say darkness is merely the absence of light. Darkness is the result of a life lived without the light of Jesus. When Jesus is in the picture, and someone has surrendered their life to him as their Master, the darkness within them is purged because of his light present in them. The more we choose daily to pursue and remain in Jesus, the more darkness within us gets driven away by his light. The greatest gift we can give the world is to reflect the light of Christ to everyone we encounter. I think it's important we reflect on how we have specifically done this lately.

Scripture:

"In him was life, and that life was the light of men. That light shines in the darkness, and yet the darkness did not overcome it.” John 1:4-5 CSB

Prayer:

Father God help us continually surrender to you and reflect your light to everyone around us so they can know you and be known by you in Jesus name amen.
