There was a fire 🔥
Here's a thought, scripture, and prayer to guide us.
Thought:
Our circumstances shape our character and our worldview. Considering our situations and circumstances— not to dwell on them— but so they can be beneficial to understand a belief we maintain to become aware of its roots and name it. When we can name it, we can pray for it.
Often times, we pray the negative be removed at all costs, rather than praying for the proper attitude toward it.
If you feel like God is silent, and not speaking to you, remember, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were in the fiery furnace. Jesus was right there with them, not saying a word, but that fire did not burn them.
Scripture:
“Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god! There is no other god who can rescue like this!” Daniel 3:25, 29b NLT
Prayer:
Father God help us know you are with us even if and when we don't see or hear you. Cultivate within us an intimacy with you that supersedes our imagination and permeates our soul. We invite you into the fire with us. In Jesus name amen!!
